"I stayed in a room rather than one of the lodges, and the room was lovely, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It's worth noting its on the very edge of the town, around a 15-minute walk from the centre of Ballater. My only disappointment was that the rooms are not serviced daily unless you are staying for a longer period, which wasn't explained at check-in. "We enjoyed all the comfort and atmosphere of an old inn, but with every modern convenience. The food was superb in the restaurant, and the full breakfast was as well. The common room was a cozy area with a fire, comfortable seating, and games!"

"A good place for a short stopover."

"The Sweet Donside Cabins are a little piece of heaven in Scotland, everything we could possible need was provided, we stayed in the Little Love Nest and the way it was decorated was absolutely amazing the added touches of pictures and ornaments was second to none, Lizzie and Brent are amazing hosts. Everything was spotless, the hot tub was ready as soon as we arrived and was such a treat with the lights all around the decking area. Each cabin is very private even though they are next to each...

Massive spiders in the house as well which we havent seen at all. There was lots of black mold behind kitchen sink, coffee machine was very dirty, junk in driveway. No shampoo or conditioner in showers and no...

"We were rented the family bedroom that had its own private bath, a double bed and three singles. It was a great place to stay. Huge kitchen for everyone and lots of seating. Parking was a bit tight."
