Very friendly and helpful staff. Fran explained all at check in, and gave a few restaurant recommendations, along with bus links to go further afield. The Number 1 bus is a 20 minute ride to the'Old Town' from nearby (mere minutes by foot) Las Canteras beach. Thoroughly recommended.

I didn't have any view from my room as the small window was point towards other parts of the hotel but as it was business I was too busy to look at a view anyway. Rocky beginnings

Amazing location a stones throw from the beach & city. As a new build there were a few teething problems, the hotel is not finished & I would strongly recommend the hotel informing guests of this pre booking as we encountered a few issues which if we simply had of known even if it was related to us on arrival by reception would have made it a much more pleasurable stay. Staff were amazing, friendly & helpful. I can see the hotel will be lovely once finished & would defo stay again.

Made very welcome at reception when booking in after only booking the room a few hours earlier for an unexpected treat for an early birthday surprise All staff very attentive and very welcoming The roof terrace bar is very classy and very clean had a lovely view of the sunset in front of us Very Comfy bed and pillows adequate size room and without doubt a brilliant location for las canteras beach and the Santa catalina bus station The only reason we have marked down the hotel is because the air conditioning didn’t work ( set at 28.5 and unbearably hot in the night ) and there was no instructions of any kind to even attempt to override it , for woke reason our telephone also wasn’t working but as soon as we informed the front desk they kindly arranged a fan to be sent up immediately

I stayed 8 nights at the Occidental Las Canteras in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, and was quite disappointed overall. Several aspects did not meet the expectations of a four-star hotel. The handle on the sink kept falling off, and the shower flooded the bathroom floor every time we used it, requiring us to place towels on the floor constantly, which stayed damp throughout our stay. The room had no windows to the outside—only a window facing the elevator, meaning anyone walking by could see directly into our space. Not only was there no view, but there was also virtually no natural light, which made the room feel even more cramped and gloomy. The room itself was very small, and overall, I would rate this hotel closer to a 2.5 or 3-star level. That said, the staff were kind, helpful, and professional, and the breakfasts were very good. Their service was the highlight of the stay.

We recently spent 6 nights at Occidental Las Canteras and the Hotel did indeed meet our needs: Location is great. You are a few steps off the Beach Las Canteras which is a gorgeous yellow sand with a long promenade full of bars and restaurants. The Hotel, although sells their stay as a resort, has no swimming pool neither provides beach service such as towels nor umbrellas/chairs. You can buy towel and small cooler which was what we did while doing some Beach hoping around the island. We also had the chance to have a drink at their rooftop, with gorgeous view of the sea where we watch the sunset during our first night. The service is great, the staff is super attentive and helpful. The girls at the breakfast were super attentive☺️… the breakfast has everything you need and has a hot station where you can order your eggs etc…Few things to notice: NO PARKING ON SITE NOR STREET. We paid 60€ for the week at P. Thomas Miller which was literally 7min walking distance to the hotel. There is also no bell-boy nor someone who can help with the bags, guest are pexpected to do so themselves. We actually had an issue with our room the first day. The AC was not properly working we told the front desk, he did fixed the issue right away but then the AC unit starting leaking… they changed out rooms but no help what-so-ever was offered with the bags… Overalll Good stay and offers good quality of service with a decent price.

This hotel was in a good area and was clean. Unfortunately the pool in the photos was non-existent, there was no air conditioning or fans - only a thermostat showing how hot the room was ( 29C most afternoons), the roof bar was noisy and once it closed you could hear all the furniture being dragged across the roof, the balcony door did not lock among other problems. The front desk was unfriendly. We had a tour based at the Isabella Hotel a few blocks away - their front desk was welcoming and very helpful. Suggest look for other hotels in the same area.
