"We stayed in the sea view cottage - it was perfect for the two of us. Simple cottage with a great covered deck and sea/beach views. Very quiet and private - highly recommend if you want to be close to restaurants and trails but want to feel like you’re in a fairly remote area."

"Theres an Asian lady that works at the front desk that isnt very welcoming but otherwise its such a cute place. The pool, hot tub and sauna were great and the garden was so nice to have "breakfast" in. Dont expect a breakfast. There was muffins. Overall though. I'd stay again."

"Was a little worried at the exterior pictures / reviews but we were pleasantly surprised to find a newly renovated room. Only negative was the twin beds…..very small for 4 average adults and queen beds would fit in the room. Smart tv was a bonus as we could use our own Netflix subscription."

"A very nice, and clean room. We had a nice view of the ocean. The hotel is a very short walk to the public market and marina, and not far from many cute shops and restaurants. Highly recommend. The self check in and out process were excellent."

"Very difficult check in when booking staff in to the hotel. Paperwork back and forth, no clear direction from staff as to what they needed. Sent the wrong form, forgot to ask for part of the info they needed. Not convenient at all, not what we usually get from Expedia"

"The staff was so helpful, valet was convenient and quick, the rooms were nice, and the hotel is in a good area. The bidet was different but not sure if staff clean the actual bidet itself bc it makes the bathroom smell like pee, a little bit. The amenities- gym, pool, hot tub are nice but pool and hot tub definitely need to be cleaned. Overall we enjoyed our stay, our room, the staff, and hotel and would definitely go back again or recommend it to others! The smell or the pool didn't really...

"It's a quiet hotel, part of a larger residential building, and formerly a Shangri-La. Room was spacious and super clean and perhaps just a tiny bit dated. Location is great, right in the heart of downtown Vancouver and walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the water."

"Nicely located hotel at the English Bay. The room/suite was spacious enough for our party of five. However, it was a bit run down, with the appliances and installations in need of some maintenance. Moreover, there was a lot of noise from the street and the windows were paper thin. I guess the price is fair for central Vancouver, but still, with a bit more care and overhaul the place would definitely be more welcoming."
