"The room was fine , however the heater cut off and smelled like it was burning and the motel was very noisy until 1 am. People stood right out side the door smoking which let smoke come into the hall.
Overall very disappointing"
"For a very basic stay this was great. It met our needs for the price and neither my friend nor I had any complaints. I guess if I was to complain it’s that we needed another plug on the nightstand for a CPAP, but we made it work. This is an older motel, probably built in the Route 66 heyday. That being said, it’s a solid structure that’s been recently renovated and felt very clean. The carpet looks in the photos like it may have pre-dated our man Roosevelt but in person it appeared brand new. "
"I rarely give a hotel 5 stars but this little Route 6 motel is a diamond in the rough. Granted, there’s no turndown service or rose on the pillow. There’s no ice machine, but ice is available from the front desk. But I discount all those little issues given the fact that the rooms are clean, well maintained, and well provisioned. The linens and towels are higher quality than your typical. Everything I needed was provided. This is not a Motel 6 by any stretch of the imagination but is priced in the same range. The staff (one person) is gregarious and helpful. If you’re looking for an upscale hotel like a Marriott or Hilton, this is not it. But in this price range, it cannot be beat and you are getting the value of a much higher priced location. Kudos to the owner for attention to detail and thoughtful design."
"Check-in was fast and very helpful. Location is very convenient, room was clean, shower had been nicely updated. Coffee brewer microwave and fridge fine. Unfortunate in the bed was super squeaky squeaky and I was tempted to lift the mattress up to see what was going on underneath there. Very uncomfortable bed. Pool was nice, but hot tub was out of order. Hot waffles were great in the morning with coffee."
"Check in was a breeze with friendly staff. Our room was very spacious and quiet. This is more of a motel not hotel and if you’re on the second floor there is no elevator. It wasn’t a problem for us but thought it’s worth mentioning. Overall everything was great and we would stay there again."
