"Buffet breakfast was on the colder side (for instance, the grilled mackerel was not hot enough), but the udon was very good- we had 2 servings - and the pastries with whipped butter and marmalade were yummy. The Japanese breakfast served in the cozy restaurant on the basement floor was very good - its tofu simmering in soy milk broth which could be enjoyed to the last drop was very interesting as it was our first encounter with this dish (gotta wait 5 minutes (for the tofu to be ready), said the staff) and needless to say, it was oishi! There’s a water dispenser outside the rooms, you might need to walk a long way depending on where your room is. Everything was new, even the cups and glasses smelled like they just came out of their boxes. So washing before use is needed😉 We stayed in a twin room with additional bed (sofa bed), so space for opening 3 medium size luggages was limited. Check-in machines that generated card keys on the spot was cool. We paid the 1200-yen per head of hotel tax in cash. Staff can speak English, so we could understand each other. 😊"
THE BLOSSOM KYOTO

"The best thing about Blossom is the calm atmosphere it creates within the busy Kyoto center. Room was nice soft floor without carpet. View was to carpark structure?! But the double drapes were good for light control and privacy. Bed was comfortable. There is a nice bathroom with shower in the room and Japanese common bath in the basement was beautiful and enjoyable if you want the full bath with soaking pool experience. Keep in mind bath suit is not allowed in the common bath. Breakfast was very good with Japanese and western buffet options but no ala carte so you would have to go with the full 3000Yen offering but worth it for the convenience. Again. The place is calm and not crowded. Highly recommend."

"Our one complaint was finding a press on nail on the carpet, one day but otherwise impeccable stay, great location, awesome staff, comfy beds and great water pressure. Made our stay in Kyoto so comfortable. Would recommend"

"This hotel's location is very convenient. Train station,shopping, restaurants, Kyoto tower, Airport Limousine service are all within walking distance. There are multiple things to do at night around the train station and hotel. Light shows, water light shows, illuminated projections, and displays all setup for photo opportunities. There are skywalks, massive escalators, and walkways everywhere. I spent 3 nights here and still did not see everything. With that said, because of the way the hotel is designed, the rooms can be very far from the elevators, but you can see some of the displays as you walk to your room. I am definitely staying here again. The staff are very courteous and attentive. They even left me a message asking if I needed anything because I left the "Do not disturb" sign out. Who does that these days? They also give you a paper every morning in English or Japanese. Now that's what I call service. We had no issues understanding any of the staff. Almost every spoke English. I can't say enough about how courteous and attentive they all are."
