Definitely NOT a 5* hotel. The public areas are classy and well presented. However the bedroom we initially had was dated and tired.
Also the shower didn’t work properly and a bedside lamp was clearly dangerous with the inline switch missing and replaced with some loosely fitting insulation tape.
It took two asks to get the shower working and I eventually had to take the lamp down to reception . Clearly guest safety is not a priority here.
In the bathroom seals were brown as was grout around the bath
After two nights we went out on our third day coming back to find the toilet deposited with waste that came from another room. Flushing it didn’t make it go away.
We went out for the evening and they assured us it would be fixed while we were out. We got back at 11pm to find that it had not been attended to.
The reluctantly placed us in a much better room after. However we had already had two nights out of the four in a wholly substandard room.
The breakfast buffet was intensive but much often cold.
This all placed a complete taint on our 4 days in Kuala Lumpur.
I could not recommend this hotel.
