Wonderful stay for a European couple - even with small tattoo fine to enter the Onsen facility. Super concept, spacious rooms for 2. Would definitely recommend for a stopover - also nice recommendations given what to do around Kochi.

A typical Japanese hotel. Very good service. We had a half board option, including breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a buffet, combining Japanese, western food and local produce. Dinner is a typical Japanese Kaiseki meal. If you don't know Japanese food very well you may find it difficult, but if you know it, you can enjoy everything. The hotel parking is next to the hotel down a side street, and consists of an ingenious vertical carousel system. Location of hotel is fine, about a 20 minute walk to the castle. Room was the usual small size and shower wasn't great, plus there were whiffs of cigarette smoke about the bedding even though it was a non-smoking room. But the room did the job, and the continental breakfast buffet in the lobby was surprisingly good and well provided. Friendly staff.

The staff was very nice and have excellent attitude. The hotel is kind of old, but they really try hard to give the customer a good stay. Croissants at breakfast were really good. food is average, coffee not good.
