"Talalla Retreat is marketed as a serene oceanfront wellness escape. Unfortunately, my experience did not align with that image.
I prepaid for a Sea View Category Room. Upon arrival, I was shown to a room in a separate “new” building far from the sea, facing jungle greenery with a shared balcony. It did not reflect what most guests would reasonably expect from a sea view booking.

"This hotel has an amazing spot on the beach. The only drawback was the lack of a view from our room. The room was large and comfortable and the staff were delightful. Despite the lack of light/view in the room it does offer a number of beach facing seating areas and a fantastic breakfast "

"Fantastic place - lovely people there and clean room. Very convenient to man road and easily accessible to hiriketiya - very short tuktuk or a 30 min scenic walk along the oceanfront. "
