Nightmare start to holiday at the Stage
We arrived to our room with a door lock that was coming away from the door, you can pull the lock out and turn the inner barrel to unlock the door. The tap sink we had to hold still to turn it on as it was so loose it would just spin if you didn't hold it. We awoke at 0200 with a few ants in the bed, l got up turned the light on to look in the bed and the whole floor was moving with ants. We went to reception and they tried to give me a can of bug spray, l said no l want another room, they tried to move me into a room that was infested with some sort of fly nest in the bathroom with a hord of flies l refused, they then moved us to another room that only had a few ants. All the rooms are the same layout and all are fitted out the sane. In the morning the manager came to us and said we had to move back into that room l said no it's infested she said we would have to pay £200 to stay in the new room as a new booking, l refused and went across the road to another hotel and booked a room there as we stayed there last year and it was beautiful. I will never ever go back to the stage, the service and conditions we received was terrible. If only videos could be uploaded, we recorded the ants and flies. I will add that we complained to hotels.com about this and they contacted the Stage and got us some money back.

New year visit
Great budget hotel, if your looking for comfort and good location with added bonus of a usable pool, then you don’t need to pay high end prices for top hotels. this hotel is clean, tidy with friendly staff in a location close to all amenities with plenty of restaurants close by. Easy to access other resorts as half way between all of them, Stayed on Koh Chang 6 times now and this is probably the best all round hotel regards price, location and comfort, will be booking this on my next stay

Good for budget traveller looking for quality
The price/quality ratio of that hotel is pretty good! Big and clean rooms, all individual bungalows. The resort was small like I expected, though I thought it was more in the jungle, according to the pictures, but its not. That area of the island is really crowded with tons of hotels and resort sticked one after the other. Easy access to the beach (just a few minutes walk, across the street) would recommend for any traveller on a budget but still looking for quality.

A 2 star gem
The room was large and the location was great. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and near the beach. The staff is friendly and although they don't speak much, if any, English, they still tried to be helpful. The hotel itself needs some maintenance, the rooms and hotel need some paint and tiles need replaced but the bed was ok and everything worked. It's a 2 star gem
