Hotel is clean, has everything you need, shower was really spacious better than other hotels, feels new. Overall on my trip to japan this was the best hotel i stay in. "We enjoyed our one night in this Ryokan. It was fun and authentic. There was a certian peace and relaxed mode that it put us on. We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens). The room #24 was spacious, clean, and well kept. Yes, we wore the provided pajamas/yukata. The shower had great pressure and was also spacious. Friendly staff and food at the restaurant was yummy. The gardens were beautiful traditional Japanese gardens. As always, loved the toilet/bidet. Loved this spot!"

From the welcome greeting as you steped out of taxi through the personalized sit down check in. Explaining the property. "This is a beautiful hotel. I cannot recommend it enough. The location is fantastic. The restaurant is small, but lovely. The staff was very professional. The only thing I didn't like was the spa music in the hall. It's rather loud and fills your hotel room. You're forced to listen to it. It started at 5 AM and woke me up. Thankfully, they shut it off when I asked. It was a bit odd; I paid for the rooms, but my slightly older friend was the one they handed a business card to and consulted. Overall, this is an extraordinary hotel. You're in your own private oasis amid a bustling tourist area. "

"It has a great location along the river in Arishyama. It is close to shops and restesturaunts as well. It offers traditional style Japanese rooms and some fantastic traditional dining as well. We asked for a change to our accommodations and staff were very willing to accommodate. Over all would recommend this hotel."
