Omg i loved it here. The room was cute. The views were fantastic i stayed with 2 teen girls and they equally loved it. We also went for a hike up the hill and there were owls and mountain trails right behind the hotel. The owners were just lovely and there was sooo much food at brekkie and they had loads of fruit teas too.
The host was amazing, so friendly and informative. This was one of the very best b&b’s I have stayed in. Lovely room, very clean and the breakfast was wonderful. I give 10 out of 10 for this stay.
Absolutely great place to stay. Bernie the owner was a perfect gentleman to speak to and share stories. Wonderful room and great service. Really enjoyed our short stay and getting to know Bernie
Lovely hotel with fabulous view across the Spey valley to the Ruthven Barracks (from Room 3 Ruthven) and the hills beyond. Very welcoming host, Bernie, who serves a great breakfast selection. Excellent value for money.
Everything about Sonnhalde Guest House was perfect. Especially cleanness and hospitality were exceptional. We would definitely change our route for next time to make sure we stay there again.
From the personal welcome from Bernie everything was top notch. Lovely big room, very comfortable and clean, everything we needed. Nice lounge to sit in, outfoor tables and chairs - we had a takeaway meal in the garden one evening. Great breakfast, helpful tips on where to eat and things to do. Would recommend and will return.
We had such a wonderful stay. It was only a flying visit but Bernie was absolutely brilliant. He made us feel extremely welcome, did everything he could to help us and gave us some brilliant advice on things to do in the local area. The guest house was extremely clean and had everything needed; towels and a tea/coffee station were provided and the breakfast was yummy. I would definitely recommend it and would love to return. The best B and B of our trip for sure. Thank you! Chloe and Ella.
Peaceful large house in quiet village, expected converted large bedrooms with ensuite. Lovely host and excellent breakfast. Weak water pressure/WiFi, tight driveway entrance.
What a lovely place to stay with an excellent, and informative, host. The property is situated just off the High Street so is ideal for walking round the town.
We had booked an evening stay en route from Orkney to home. We were warmly greeted by Bernie on arrival and advised of locations for an eveninv meal. The house and our room were spotless, clean, tidy with coffee/tea making facilities both in lounge and bedroom with en suite facility. Unfortunately after our arrival & evening meal we were ping'd by NHS and asked to isolate so advised Bernie. We were allowed to watch the EURO 2020 Final in their lounge as we were the only guests in their home. We suggested breakfast should consist of cereal and toast in lieu of the normal due to our isolation. When we came down they had laid out cereals, boiled eggs, cheese, buns, toast, fresh fruit juice, yoghurt and fresh fruit and tea / coffee facilities. An excellent breakfast so did not really miss the normally supplied full Scottish cooked breakfast. We were extremely pleased with our stay and would like to thank Bernie and his wife for their lovely hospitality and our stay. Will definetly use their facility in the future given the opportunity and would highly recommend anyone else to use their property.
We had a wonderful stay with Bernie and his wife at the guest house. Bernie was very open and friendly, told good stories about the history of the area and gave great recommendations about things to do in the near area. The room was clean and homely and the breakfast was very good.
Bernie was lovely. I guess he was the manager/ owner. He couldn't do enough to help and gave us some great information on different walks and interesting places. The breakfasts were great, tasty and properly cooked. As Bernie's wife/partner possibly did the cooking it would have been good to meet her. My son saw her but only by accident I believe.
