The staff are exceptional and extremely helpful - especially Joy who always greeted us in the morning with a huge smile. There is a great choice on offer for breakfast and the food is really good. Would certainly recommend a stay here."

"The Newlands Guest House, a charming place built in 1836, has all necessary modern amenities including a swimming pool. Sarah and John, the proprietors, were the perfect hosts. They were very friendly & helpful with info about local places to see & dine at. We began each morning with a hearty meal, with hot & cold selections. Our room was very spacious and clean. Their cats & dog were a bonus. Our room opened onto a delightful garden. We had a wonderful three night stay at NGH, & would gladly...

"Oh how lovely to be in a creative environment and enjoy the lovely pottery pieces all over the property. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. We were so appreciative to be able to use the washing machine too. There are some lovely restaurants a 5 min walk away in Second Avenue.
