"Travelled as a family, room clean and confortable but a bit dated, had everything we needed, exactly what expected. Enjoyed buffet breakfast numerous varied choices. Enjoyed beach, pool and onsen. Enjoyed 15 min walk into the little town nearby, very nice groceriy. Very pleasant stay! Thank you!"

"It’s in a perfect location literally right across from Shirahama beach!! Beautiful views from the room. The hotel itself is definitely dated. But the room is exactly what we wanted. A traditional Japanese style room. We had to lay out our beds and everything. So that was fun and unique. The onsen and public baths were nice too! Only thing I didn’t like was the sauna was a “private” experience that was like $60-70 extra for 2 hours. Not great. At the end of the day, we basically wanted a classic Japanese room to sleep at night and be a good home base to explore shimoda from. And for that, it was amazing! I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for that. But luxurious, it was not. Overall, we were very happy with our stay!"

"This was my very first time visiting Atami, and staying at SOKI ATAMI made the experience truly remarkable. Our family stayed for two nights, and from start to finish everything felt thoughtful, comfortable, and welcoming. The rooms were super clean, which immediately made us feel relaxed and at ease. Our favorite part was the in-room onsen—it was simply amazing. It felt like a private retreat, and we all enjoyed soaking and unwinding together. Also, there are so many things to do if you decide to drive around the area. It made our trip even more fun and convenient, and we loved exploring at our own pace. Overall, our stay exceeded expectations, and we’d happily return. Thank you to the team at SOKI ATAMI for helping make our first Atami trip so special!"

"If you want a traditional Japanese Ryokan experience, this is it. With two onsens ensuite, one outdoor one indoor and large rooms with a beautiful garden, and a reasonable price, it’s hard to beat. 11-min walk from the station is worth it."

"The room was fantastic. We loved it. The beds were so comfortable and the view was so beautiful. We used the onsen and it was magical because we had a full moon. The bath products they have for the guests and the onsen user are the best smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash i have ever used in my 51 years. I don’t know if they sell it in town but if you are around look for them there because I think it’s unique to the area. The front desk was so friendly, even though we didn’t know Japanese. I recommend waking up early for the sunrise. We hope to return soon."
Numazu Riverside Hotel

"I was immensely pleased with this hotel. The room was advertised as having a "Mt. Fuji View" which I suspected would be barely visible or largely obstructed in some manner (thank you trauma from other misleading hotels!) BUT this hotel absolutely blew me away with the view we got. When the weather was clear, we had an amazing view of Mt. Fuji as advertised. The hotel is not far from the train station and can be reached on foot. There are several bus stops directly outside the hotel which makes getting around convenient. I did not dine in the hotel but instead enjoyed the many options nearby. Behind the hotel is a riverbank which is fabulous to walk along. The rooms are decently sized and well equipped. Staff were somewhat brusque but efficient. If you are an LLS fan, you will enjoy the dedicated room around the corner from the check-in desk. If I returned to Numazu, I would certainly stay here again!"
