"If you are looking for a luxury resort this is not the place. The rooms are small and the location is a little dicey. However if you are looking for an affordable home base. A location between the north and south. My room was clean. Close to the airport but traffic at the airport at night is minimal. I spent very little time in the hotel. Sightseeing. The beaches, Waimea Canyon, sunsets at Kekaha Beach. I had a great stay. Once the lights are out, all rooms look the same."

"Air conditioner was dripping condensation everywhere and there were black stains on the wall from the moisture. Hotel has a lot of dry rot, also beat up a bit from the hurricane I imagined. Homeless were across the parked across the street at the park. I wasn’t sure I made the best choice, but my stay there was pleasant. Bed was comfy but extremely soft. I loved the feral cats and peacocks who came to my door in the morning. Roosters are very loud if you need to sleep in. Neighbors were...

"Cottages was comfortable and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was convenient. We would stay here again."

"Staff can use a customer service training. Staff is not friendly. The people in the front are rude and don’t have basic manners like greeting you. The only people who are friendly in the whole hotel are the people in the valet. Rooms also don’t get clean every day but every other day. Overall not a bad place to stay but I would explore other options first."

"Room on the first night had a mattress that was 10 to 15 years old. Springs were so broken there were two body shapes in the mattress 4 to 6 inches deep. Couch was old and dirty. Room smelled of body odor. After complaining the next morning, we were told nothing else was available, but another mattress cover was offered. Then after much heated exchange explaining we bought a room and it was not suitable for anyone to stay in, we were offered a room but was a downgrade from ocean view to...

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Birthday Stay Ever! 🌺 We had the absolute best stay at Hale Hokuala Kauai! The hotel is absolutely breathtaking, extremely clean, peaceful, and secluded, making it feel like your own little paradise. The amenities are fantastic, and there’s even a beach access path right next to the hotel. The location is perfect because you feel tucked away, yet you’re conveniently located near everything on the island. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to...
