Woodapple is super clean, professionally run and a great hotel to just escape the hustle of Kathmandu.
The staff were amazing and were extremely helpful and supportive to any of our needs.
The rooftop restaurant has a great outlook over the city.
This is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed for the price, location, area, great restaurant bud above all for the best staff such a friendly people that makes to think twice to leave. Highly reccomended I will recommend my friends and family too
I had a great stay again at the Woodapple hotel. Staff treat you like family so I keep going back. The food was delicious. Manager Rama is great too and does great customer relations with the guests.
Absolutely amazing hotel in a great location. Easy to walk into Thamel and the Durber
Square. Rooms and service were great. Great view from the restaurant.
This is the best hotel in the Thamel area. The hotel is always clean and the staff is so nice and extremely helpful! I have stayed there a few years in a row and they remember me and are so welcoming. Great location too!
My stay was pleasant and great. The manager (Ram) was welcoming and addressed any concerns I had. He even had one of his staff members (Nishesh thapa) go find me an ESIM card. Which was greatly appreciated. The manager and the staff went out of there way. Location was great. Breakfast was Yummy. Would stay again.
Can't really believe this is just rated as a 3-star hotel. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels that didn't offer the same comfort and rooms.
Staff are amazing, always responsive. Breakfast is decent and the treatments in the hotel's spa were great.
Best of all, rooms are clean and spacious.
I loved this hotel! View from their rooftop is amazing! Room, food and staff was excellent as well! I highly recommed this hotel to everyone. It’s also right next to the heart of Thamel!
Very clean and comfortable hotel, well behaved staff and very professional, very helpful and friendly staff. Buffet was very tasty and very well arranged.

On the first night of our stay, we found an opened bottle of Coke in the room’s refrigerator, which made us feel that the cleanliness might not have been thorough. However, the hotel is located in a great area for shopping, and the rooftop restaurant is excellent, offering both a beautiful view and delicious food. All the hotel staff we encountered were warm, friendly, and provided helpful assistance.
This is an absolutely fantastic hotel in Thamel yet the area is quieter than many areas of Thamel. The staff are fantastic, the room was excellent and the breakfast was very good! The view from the rooftop restaurant is breathtaking! Look for the manager Mr Bishnu. He will make sure everything is perfect!
Hotel is located in an area with small streets. A bit quiet at night but still safe. Just next to a blind person massage house. The hotel is good and the staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast is included in the roof top restaurant which is unbeatable .
The stay exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and was close to many attractions. The room was clean, the air-conditioning was cold. Bed was comfortable. The shower had great pressure and hot. The free breakfast was fantastic with many varieties, something for everyone on the rooftop looking over Kathmandu. We will return.
This hotel is perfect in every way. It is nestled in a quaint little street off the busy roads of Thamel in Kathmandu. You often hear guitar and singing from the cafe below in the late evenings. The hotel employees offer the best hospitality possible. You are immediately greeted with everyone in the front desk standing up for you every time you enter the hotel. And let me tell you I was pretty active so I entered numerous times a day. And every time they stood up for me. Just absolutely beautiful people. Breakfast is amazing too. You get plenty of buffet food choices and A la carte as well. I stayed for 27 nights and each day was amazing. I never had a bad day. My room was immaculate because housekeeping cleaned everyday. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The AC was high functioning and plenty of toiletries were always available. As a good gesture the manager offered me the presidential suite for my last night. It was a very big room with a jacuzzi. Everything about this hotel was just right. It’s also a 10-15 min walk to mostly everything. I’ll definitely stay here again for my next trip to Nepal. You just can’t go wrong staying here.
We came back to kathmandu so that we could make our flight out of Nepal easily, so we came to a hotel we knew was good. We got a more modest room, but having come here before and having reserved a higher end room that time, the staff remembered our preference and upgraded us to that higher end room free of charge! The staff are fantastically helpful and nice, we could go to them for tips on places we wanted to go, and their food is also really good. Have a lot of nice options from breakfast to the a la carte menu. We didn't need to eat out that much because they had very good options, including many good nepali food staples. It was also nice that this was located at the edge of Thamel, so we could easily get to many touristy shopping areas/locations and enjoy a quite rest away from the streets. Tremendously nice people, space, service, location, and food.
Great hotel that I can recommend! The service was great (received watermelon juice at check in) and when the breakfast was about to end I received a call to be updated. Also even when they had run out of certain things in the buffet they kindly made them for me. On the check out they helped me arrange affordable airport transportation and gave me a small scarf as farewell gift. Overall, always ready to support. The location was great too, could easily access Thamel but also could avoid crowds. Rooms were great but the spund isolation wasn't great though didn't bother me much.
If you are interested in yoga, there's a place called Yog that is 3 minutes away thag offers walk in classes
This hotel provides everything a hiker needs after an exhilarating trek in the Himalayas: modern, clean, and comfortable rooms; excellent services; and a sumptuous breakfast buffet at the rooftop restaurant with stunning mountain and city views. I stayed one night before my EBC trek and two nights afterward. The manager, Mr. Rimal, personally greeted each guest during the free breakfast buffet, ensuring everyone's needs were met.
The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the bustling Thamel area, yet it's unbelievably quiet and peaceful at night despite being so close to the city center.
After spending many nights in the tea houses on the EBC trail, I felt like I was in a 5-star hotel. I strongly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone seeking comfort and quality service at a very reasonable price.
