Only small thing was that the shower did smell after use, but considering it was separated from the rest of the room, it was manageable. All in all Shinjuku Global Hotel was a nice budget-friendly option for a family-style room. "

"The first thing you should know is that this is not a hotel. It's an apartment with two flats, one on the second floor and one on the third floor, above a storefront about half way between the Ueno and Asakusa stations. That said, it's not bad as a rental apartment, and was a good fill-in for us when our Air BnB booking was cancelled on short notice. All of the communication with the owner was via the Expedia site - we never met anyone in person, but got check-in instructions via messages...
