Overall, it was an okay stay. Everything felt pretty average for an onsen hotel... not bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. The room was decent, service was fine, and the location was convenient. The onsen itself worked well.. but that's all it's matter.. the natural hot spring..

Oniyama Hotel
Staffs was friendly and helpful. Room was gorgeous and awesome. Private onsen is amazing and definitely recommended. Location is convenient. Excellence overall

Tabist Nisseiya Beppu Kannawa
Hotel was centrally located near the Kanawa Bus Station/Hells Pools/food steam restaurant. 10min walk from the bus station. The hotel was clean & has an onsen! The play was amazing, my kids love it. It would better if you also put the maps to minimize the confusion. I hope you can add more kitchen tools instead of only one pot.
