"This is a staffless row of suites across from the Pioneer Pocket hotel. You park right in front of your suite which includes a separate living area, bedroom, and bathroom. The room was clean, featured extra toiletries, and was convenient to downtown dining. This is our new favorite in Lubbock and was very reasonably priced."

"The location is perfect. The hotel is beautiful. Views are tremendous. It's the Staff that make the Overton all that it is and worth being called the best place to stay in Lubbock! I've been staying here since 2021"

"I’m not sure what went wrong, but when I arrived to check in, they couldn’t find my reservation. Apparently their system didn’t have the information from Expedia. It took almost two hours for them to try to resolve the issue, and during that time I had to go back to my car, drive around, and sit on hold while going back and forth with customer service. I was told an escalating manager would call me back, but that never happened. By the time two hours had passed, I no longer felt comfortable staying there. What made the situation worse was the lack of ownership from the staff. Imagine flying from Atlanta to Lubbock for a black-tie event later that afternoon, arriving around 3 PM expecting to check into your room to rest and prepare, only to get stuck in a customer service loop instead. Overall it was a very frustrating experience. No one seemed concerned that I ended up losing money because of it."

"Room was dirty, bathroom dirty, shower had hairs and etc in it. room was nothing like photos on hotels.com site. linens were stained. had to chase the staff in the morning for towels to take a cold shower (no hot water) plenty of parking though...."

"We stayed one night and everything was wonderful! We live in the area and often go to the restaurant, Midnight Shift for drinks or dinner and sit outside in the courtyard area. However, all of the rooms face the courtyard, and noise stays in the courtyard. We had some people enjoying the courtyard loudly after usually quiet hours of 10 pm. The enclosed space keeps the noise amplified and if you are a light sleeper you will hear everything! Things finally quieted by midnight or so. But we enjoyed everything!"

"Our AC unit took a while to cool the room but did its job after a few hours. The bathtub was slippery because it was peeling so taking a shower was a bit dangerous. "
