"Just got back from 2 weeks at hawksbill and let me tell you it was so chill! Exactly what I was looking for, if you need great beaches, friendly people, delicious food and a place to unplug this is where you want to be! The wifi works great, the rooms are clean and the ocean calls you everyday! But there’s no animation team, no beach volleyball and no constant beach venders. Most people there are 50 plus so if you need constant stimulation go to Vegas ! Just be warned there are lots of stairs and hills, just sayin had a great time and would definitely recommend and return! Thanks had a great time!"
"Left the resort on 4/19. My wife and I traveled here to celebrate our 23rd Anniversary! All I can say is “Don’t Stay Here” Hear me Don’t stay here! The only thing this resort has that is keeping them open is the beach. It is beautiful but you have to really look for a decent beach chair. Most of the chairs should have been replaced years ago.
The pictures you see online are NOT what this resort looks like in 2026. All sites should request more up to date pictures.
The room is horrible! They are old, outdated and need immediate attention asap. The bed takes up all the space in the room. They don’t have refrigerator , they give you an ice bucket but there is no ice machine nor no bottle water. The shower is big enough for one person ONLY. When you step in you can barely turn around. They only provide one power outlet with the others being European fit.
The front desk staff has attitude. They are not friendly at all. You have to almost beg for towels. We asked for 2 extra face towels, they gave them but as soon as we left the room, housekeeping came in our room, got the two towels back. When I reported it to front desk, the girl didn’t even look up at me. All she said was I will speak with housekeeping. They are very understaffed and nonchalant of their guests.
Food was Okay!! Nothing to brag about. OMG the Pizza Shack. Tell me why you have to make reservations at 7am in order to eat here. We spent most of our time away from the resort just to make the best of or trip. "
"We had the most magical time here! It’s very secluded and personal so renting a car was a great idea for us to explore the island but come back to our retreat! Everyone is so kind and the property is absolutely stunning. The food was amazing and the bar was amazing! 100/10 recommend this place to any couple looking for a retreat. I would recommend bringing bug spray you are in the forest but they do spray for bugs often but keeping them completely gone is impossible so having bug spray was very helpful for us."
Pineapple Beach Club Antigua - Adults Only – All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Pros: Great location. Very easy check in. Snorkeling off the beach very good. Staff almost exclusively very friendly and helpful. Lots to do if you want. Nice beach. Nice pool setup. Grounds interesting and pleasant. Judith in the restaurant an absolute pleasure. Kwon for pool aerobics fantastic. Beds great. Lots of hot water for showers. AC in the beachfront rooms make it sub zero. Easy à la carte reservation process easy. Nightly entertainment. Never a time when food unavailable. Coffee shop really nice-clean. Coffee drinks nice. Courtesy showers a nice touch. Breakfast was very good, arguably the best meal of the three. Monkey bread!
Cons are few. Beachfront room 113/115 are adjoining and the 113 is a smaller room and a shared deck which is not great. Grill was out of some things for the entire week we were there. While food taste is very subjective, and most things were good, baked goods were generally without flavor. Desserts hit and miss.
More generally. Cab from the airport the easiest and regulated fare. Takes about 30 minutes
Walk to Devils Bridge doable and worth while. Expect a little bit of elevation change and the walk itself not particularly scenic. 3 miles rt or so
If you want shade anywhere (pool, beach) and it’s generally desirable, have to get there early. Claims are staked to be sure. That said, there are plenty of chairs, just not shaded. "
Royalton CHIC Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort – Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"My stay at the Chic Royalton was amazing check in and out was seamless with great help with front desk clerk Aja! She was a Gem and made my stay memorable. The room upon check did smell mildewing but staff acted immediately to accommodate and the food from the coffee shop was good, buffet was mediocre, Vespa’s had the best food option and Olympus appetizer were really good!! Hunt steak was underwhelming and food came out warm and took a while. Overall experience was 8/10 highly recommended. All inclusive food isn ’t always the best so explore options off of the resort to maximize experience in Antigua. "
