"When we checked in the front desk associate was not warm and welcoming and truly seemed annoyed. To pay tax and a service charge for a beach umbrella is crazy. Stayed at dozens +++ hotels and never had tax and a service charge. Additionally I gave the young man a tip for setting up the umbrella and some how there was also a tip on my bill for the umbrella set up. Hard to believe a $30.00 umbrella was 45.00 plus crazy and not acceptable."

"I had high expectations for this place due to its reputation but I won’t be back. There are much better beach hotels imo. Most of the facility was dirty and not well maintained. There were wedding parties running up and down the halls until 4:30am both nights and nobody seemed to say or do anything about it to make sure other guests were not disturbed. The pool bar is dirty. The pools were dirty. Disappointed to say the least."

"My family of four just stayed at Barefoot for a week during our first visit to the area. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The staff that cleans the common areas were very hardworking. We got a 2-bedroom with kitchenette and balcony for a reasonable price, and it made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We came without a car and were able to walk to restaurants, shops, 7-11, and ordered groceries a few times. Overall excellent stay. Only wish the hot tub and pool were open past 9 pm...

"The front desk manager tried to blame the lack of breakfast food on the delivery service at 8:30 then after it was delivered 5 minutes after the 9:00 cut off, she closed the breakfast bar said we would have to wait until the next day. Very poor customer service by front desk manager?"

"This was my 3rd visit to the Hollander Hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful. The only complaints I have is that I wish the bathrooms had more counterspace to put things and the water pressure is very low. This probably has to do with the fact that the hotel is quite old, but upgrading the plumbing would really help improve the hotel experience for the guests. Overall, though, the hotel is fun, wildly decorated with hundreds of pictures, and a lot of photos of old St. Pete. ...

"We loved our stay at Bilmar except when our room was cleaned she did not clean the tub, floors, or table tops. We were in room 641 and the patio door was broke and we had to slam it several times to get it to close as well as the front door which took multiple tries to open. The staff was amazing, the amenities were great, and the location is amazing!"
