Mixed experience, will not return

The hotel needs a serious overall renovation. It is very old and dusty, floor boards peeling off (rooms) and wall paper in bad shape. And I saw big raches in the dining area, which made me not go there to eat or order room service, although I had included breakfast in my stay. The staff is very friendly, no problem with that but the place is now uninviting. I will not stay at this hotel anymore, will go to the Novotel, which is not far from it.

It'll have to take serious effort by the hotel to lure me back

Simply put, I doubt if any of the staff can spell HOSPITALITY let alone have been trained to deliver it. Very poor experience overall. Check in was not professional. Dinner was terrible with extremely poor service. Some leaking on the floor I was on by the elevators and a blanket was thrown to cover the wet carpet. A visual turn off. No manager on duty when I tried to complain regarding my bad experience at the restaurant.
