Absolutely amazing stay at Plantation Jan Thiel lodge. The lodge has so much character and is located in a beautiful setting. If I could give a Michelin star to Loeki, I would — the breakfasts were out of this world made with fresh local Ingredients and or so flavourful and healthy. All the staff were courteous and very nice.

We had a wonderful time staying here, the property was nice and spacious and clean. It has access via a trail to walk down to the salt flats and see the flamingos. The hostess was wonderful and very nice making us a delicious breakfast every morning, as well as giving us great ideas and tips on where to go.

Fantastic and can’t wait to go back. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The entire property is unique and a little paradise on paradise. We liked watching the sunset from the main house patio area. We stayed in the little cottage we’re so comfortable and loved the private pool and outdoor shower. We liked talking with the other guests from all over the world over breakfast and sharing island experiences. It is a very peaceful and quiet place with house animals as an extra bonus.

Our family of four (two adults and two kids 9 &5) stayed for a week at Plantation Jan Thiel. It was a excellent home base to explore the island from. Loeki is a fantastic host who made us feel at home. She provided loads of great tips for beaches to visit, activities for the kids and restaurants to try. The property is beautiful with an easy walking trail down to see the flamingos at the salt flats, a great pool with comfortable lounge chairs and large terraces to enjoy the view and a cocktail after a long day in the sun. I highly recommend staying here!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this lush, gorgeous property! Lukay (sp?) ensured every detail was perfect. She went above and beyond to make certain we enjoyed our stay. Welcome drink, evening herb water, delicious breakfast, arranging a rental vehicle, etc. The property owner is blessed to have such a sweet, friendly, accommodating employee! Amazing

Loekie's place was AMAZING. We cannot say enough about how wonderful she is, the pups are, the property is, the meals are, and the hospitality. WOW. Staying here made our vacation. The location is ideal, too - you are close to many things and have great walking trails in the park just behind. The pool was refreshing. We cannot wait to come back.

We absolutely loved this property! It is so beautiful and peaceful. The hostess Loeki was so welcoming and made us felt right at home. She made the most amazing breakfast with fresh ingredients from the property. She always had cold water infused with different fruits or mint which was appreciated after a hot day. I would highly recommend this property when visiting Curaçao!

My stay at the Plantation Jan Thiel Lodge was nothing short of amazing! The property is beautiful, quiet, and very inviting with many areas to relax. The rooms are spacious, clean, colorful, and the bed was super comfortable. Loeki is the best host and an incredible chef too - I couldn’t wait to have breakfast every morning. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back soon! :)

We only stayed here one night due to a booking mixup in our other location. We were extremely amazed at what a lovely host Loeki was and beautiful the setting is. If you are looking for a quiet retreat for your vacation, this is the place. Loeki did everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. My only comment would be that if you’re using navigation do not just enter Plantation Jan Thiel , it only takes you halfway down the road. Enter Landhuis Jan Thiel, into your navigation. The location is at the very end of the road.

Our stay at Plantation Jan Thiel Lodge was absolutely unforgettable! Loike is the greatest host we could have asked for. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. She provided excellent recommendations on local restaurants, guided us to some stunning local trails, and even pointed out the best snorkeling spots. Although we initially booked just one night due to a conference at the Marriott, we instantly wished we had planned our entire five-day stay here. The Lodge may not be right on the ocean, but its unique charm and warm atmosphere more than make up for it. There’s a special spirit to this place that makes you want to return again and again. If I could give Plantation Jan Thiel Lodge 6 stars, I absolutely would! Highly recommended to anyone visiting the island.

Wow….its almost impossible to put in writing how magnificent this place is! I think it’s the best place I have ever stayed. The plantation is beautiful. The grounds are full of flowering shrubs, different kinds of birds and an easy walk to the salt marshes to view the flamingos. Our bedroom was private with lots of room. The bed and linens were so comfortable that I slept like a baby. Using the homemade soaps was such a nice touch. Each night fresh water infused with lime or cucumber was delivered to our room. It’s all these extra efforts that made our stay so special. The best part of our vacation is that Loeki (the host) made us feel like family. She makes this boutique hotel more than a 10 out of 10. She bakes muffins, loafs and cakes fresh each morning while she effortlessly makes cappuccinos and coffees for each guest. She whips up individual requests for breakfasts that is made from scratch. We ate like royalty and loved all the fresh fruit that was offered. I’m positive that I gained weight in a week just from her outstanding breakfasts. She was also very conscientious about my peanut and tree nut allergy. This was our first visit to Curacao. Loeki, gave us so many great tips for beaches, restaurants and special places to check out. We definitely would not have had the ability to truly experience the island without her inside knowledge of the best places to visit. We will definitely be coming back to Curacao and to Plantation Jan Thiel Lodge. It’s paradise! ❤️

The hostess was amazing, she is attentive a great conversationalist and exceptional cook! I don’t know how she does it all! The atmosphere, views and variety of commons spaces for where to choose where to relax is great. The resident fur babies (dogs) add a comforting presence as well.
