"Main issue with the property is it’s location, the state of the access road which is narrow and full of pot holes and some of the rooms. They gave us a room in the attic which was more like a closet turned into a room. The bed was small and not comfortable. We were jet lagged and woke up late so couldn’t try the breakfast, but we did try the bar which was good but overpriced."

"The Marmalade Hotel is in a nice location that’s just a short walk (about 1/2 mile) from the center of Portree and harbor. The property is a nice mix of an older renovated traditional structure (which houses the hotel lobby, guest lounge, and restaurant) and a new modern structure where the guest rooms are located. The property as a whole has a clean, contemporary feel and is well cared for. The rooms are clean, contemporary and modest with nice amenities. I would stay here again when I return...

"There are a few on street parking areas right in front that are available to use between 6pm - 8/9:00 am. The rooms are above a bar but it closed down around 11:00. Any room on the third floor is the quietest, but very hot and there are no fans. While the window opens, it took forever to cool down and never really got below 72 to sleep. We stayed in late June. "The perfect location for all of your Isle of Skye exploration. Nice staff and good clean rooms. My husband and I found the room nice with a beautiful first floor view of the grounds but a little cramped and maybe needing a little refresh. We were told it was an upgrade due to the view, however the room was next to the housekeeping closet which meant it was quite loud early in the morning. The breakfast each morning was lovely. Everyone we met on staff was really helpful and kind."

"I had an amazing stay at Hame Hotel on the Isle of Skye. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and well organized, making our stay very easy. The location is stunning and very central for exploring the island. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have a great common area with an honesty bar that is well stocked. "Im Juni 2026 für 2 Nächte geblieben - war alles perfekt. Minnie ist super, sie hat uns extra früh Früchstück gemacht, damit wir früh zum wandern gehen können. Außerdem hat sie uns extra einen Fernseher organisiert, damit wir das Schottlandspiel (WM 2026) schauen können. Absolutes Highlight war natürlich die Aussicht. Im Ort gibt es ein paar gute Restaurants aber einfach Minnie fragen; sie hat die besten Tipps. Würde jederzeit wiederkommen! :)"

"Nice little cabins in a good location on Skye. Very nice staff and great restaurant. Some minor issues with cleanliness (multiple hairs on sofa) and slightly must smell to the apartment likely due to the constant rain and/or dogs staying there previously, it was tolerable but an air freshener would have been nice."
