"There is a large car park but it can get busy at peak times. Register your car at the bar. Our fourth visit in the last year. We like it. Staff, food, atmosphere and location. There are a few maintenance issues that could be addressed, e.g. dripping taps, shower door off runners and touch up of decor in places. We expect to return."

"The floor of the shared shower room floods when one is showering and had to walk through water to get out from the shower room."

"Our stay at the vine was lovely, Pros convenient right in the centre, Loverly friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, tea coffee facilities. Cons, steep narrow stairs upto the top floor, really squeaky floor boards in the room kept waking others up in the room when getting up to use the bathroom in the night. Second time I’ve stayed and would definitely visit again. "

"Rooms are very very dated and ours smelt nasty! No net curtains all way round bay window and over looked a roundabout. No rubber on shower screen so water went all over the bathroom. Definitely not 4 star! Breakfast was good & meet and greet member of staff very jolly. Pool looked good too but didn’t use. "

"Room was OK (King Suite), neighboured with another room - unfortunately neighbours were far too loud. (We used ears plugs otherwise we'd need to change rooms. Lack of drinking water in the rooms. The room itself was a bit dim with worn furniture. Bathroom lacked ventilation and thus accrued mold on the blinds. Had several disturbances in the night with noise. Poor signal with a small outdated TV. Good large fluffy bath towels, comfortable bed. Nice view from the window. Good breakfast selection....

"The room was very clean , staff were very friendly. Only disappointment was total lack of drawers and very little wardrobe space. Geared more to 1-2 night stays and we were there for 6. Great food and really lovely setting"

"I never feel disappointed at this hotel. The beds are comfortable and the breakfasts are fantastic with an excellent range of dishes. The lockers in the spa do need some attention though and the sauna in the ladies’ changing room has no internal handle. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It remains really good value for a stopover "
