Along one of the many beaches of Hua Hin, Thailand, sits a tiny peninsula that houses Wat Khao Takiab. Like most temples, a statue of Buddha is displayed in some shape or form. Here the statue is one of a standing Buddha with the palms of both hands upright and facing outwards, called “Repelling the Oceans”. One common meaning of this posture is the belief that on a visit to India, Buddha used the power of meditation to repel a wall of water that was unleashed by a hermit in hopes to cause a flood. プールもジムあり、ビーチも近く、ビーチサイドの部屋の展望も良かったです。市街地からは離れてますが、のんびりするには良いホテルだと思います。結構、バスで団体さんがいらっしゃるホテルですね。かち合うとエレベータ待つみたいです。チェックアウト時に部屋のコンディションもチェックされます。

Slidt hotel - med god beliggenhed ved strand

Hotellet har en god beliggenhed lige ned til rigtig fin strand. Men det er et noget nedslidt hotel. Der er en pool men kun meget få liggestole og ingen udlevering af håndklæder, som før i tiden. Poolen var i øvrigt ude af drift i 7 af de 9 dage, vi boede der. Der var en fin stor altan til værelset, men ingen stole eller bord til at sidde på, så den kunne ikke rigtig benyttes. Prisen er i overkanten i forhold til hotellets tilstand og faciliteter.

Experience that encourages to find another hotel

We have stayed at this hotel for several years, but this year's stay was clearly below the low goal. The service was poor and the morning buffet was lacking. The night we wanted to use RoomService, Dr was told that they could not because of many seminar guests and then we went hungry to bed.

Gensyn med en dejlig strand syd for Hua Hin

For 7. gang har vi besøgt Blue Wave der ligger ca. 7 km syd for Hua Hin. Hotellet ligger helt er ud til en meget bred sandstrand, der næsten aldrig er overskyllet. Hotellet er slidt, og i år var der meget byggestøj, da der er gang i noget nedbrydning på 2. sal. Morgenmaden på hotellet er ok de fleste dage, men da der er kursusvirksomhed på hotellet, kommer der nogle dage kæmpe flokke at thaier, og så er det så som så med det vi forstår ved morgenmad. Det kniber også med at få plads om morgenen, når der er kursister. I år var vandet i havet ikke så rent som de tidligere år. Det er rigtig, rigtig ærgerligt. Lad os håbe, at det har været noget forbigående, ellers vil jeg ikke bade fra stranden længere. Det er et hotel, hvor der kommer mange danskere, og vi møde mange af de samme hvert år.

Fint hotel til prisen

Blue Wave var som det plejer en god oplevelse, meget venlig personale der yder en god service. Hotellet kan varmt anbefales da det ligger helt ned til stranden og på læsiden af abebjerget. Hotellet er under løbende renovering så det kan være en fordel at forsøge at få et værelse på en af de øverste etager. Men alt i alt en god oplevelse

When I checked in the staff were unhelpful (board line rude) and overall the hotel was old and outdated. The elevators are very slow and the rooms extremely basic. The beach was beautiful but if I go back to Hau Hin I'll try to get something more modern and closer to the center of the city.

Vi besøgte Blue Wave for 6. gang

Vi kender hotellet i forvejen, og ved at det ikke er luxus vi kommer til. Vores valg er truffet ud fra hotellets beliggenhed, der er helt suveræn, det ligger på stranden, og vi tror ikke der findes bedre strand i Hua Hin området. Den er helt fantastisk. Der er en god stemning på hotellet, personalet er venlige og imødekommende, og de ting der ikke er i orden, bliver ordnet med det samme. Personalet er ikke så gode til engelsk, men de gør hvad de kan. Hotellet er meget slidt, men rengøringen er i top, og vi kan leve med den standard det har, og vender helt sikkert tilbage. Mange værelser og lejligheder bliver solgt og moderniseret. Lad os håbe, at alt ikke bliver solgt, det vil være et tab for rigtig mange danskere. I området kaldes Blue Wave for "dansker hotellet".

SKODHOTEL

Det er det værste ophold vi har haft på dette hotel,og vi er kommet her igennem 7år.morgenmaden var dårlig og mangelfuld , rester fra thaierne konferencer , rengøring af værelser foretages kl 17 , på grund af samme. Hotellet ville have at vi skulle flytte værelse dagen før vi skulle tjekke ud,da der kom gæster der havde betalt fuld pris for værelset , hvad er så fuld pris ? Svimmingpool lukket i 3 dage.Så alt i alt er dette kun et hotel for thaierne,så vi kommer aldrig tilbage til dette hotel.
