"This was a neat place to stay in the heart of the old part of Stone Town. Quaint, but with modern amenities like AC. I had a private bathroom down the hall which was clean and not far. Older building with stairs but I enjoyed my stay and felt it was worth it for sure."

"What an astonishing place! Really friendly staff and the owners are lovely. Well run and clearly a lot of thought has gone into the communal spaces to make them as inviting and relaxing as possible. The bedroom was great and had everything we needed and the location is fantastic - a little back from the main streets so nice and quiet but close to everything you want to see. "

"Wonderful service from start to finish. Amazing breakfast and a beautiful antiquated suite with bags of character and charm. We stayed in a suite at the very top of hotel and had to walk up quite a few flight of stairs as there is no light. You are helped with luggage, however anyone with mobility issues would may struggle. "

"A nice boutique hotel located in a very downtown of Stone Town. It is kept in a vintige wooden style, but rooms are fully equipped with AC and safe. The breakfast is served on a top floor terrace with a nice view over surrounding rooftops (photos attached). We spent there two nights, with a warm welcome at reception and we were nicely treated with a typical local appreciation and helpfulness. "The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is a short walk to the Forodhani Gardens and the former Slave Market. There are several restaurants closeby especially a very popular one Lukmaan. The area around the hotel is bustling in the day and quiet at night. A taxi cannot drive up to this property so you will to do a short walk through the streets to get there. The staff were friendly and always greeted us. They were helpful when we called for assistance with anything we needed to clarify...
