"I had a great stay at Zanzibar Coffee House! The staff are so lovely. Breakfast was delicious, & it is served in a beautiful setting on the rooftop overlooking Stonetown. I loved the aesthetic of my room, & everything was super clean! "

"I stayed at Zanzibar Palace Hotel from June 8 to June 10 and had an amazing experience. The hotel is full of character, with beautiful Zanzibari decor and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect—close to all the sights, yet quiet at night. A true gem in Stone Town. Highly recommended!"

"We had a great stay in this historical building. The room (especially the sheets) were clean, the building was amazing (make sure to check out the view from the roof), we enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff were great (and available 24/7). A great place to stay in Stone Town."

"Excellent location, many shops and restaurants nearby. Very close to the beach. We had a fantastic room with a lovely sea view. Clean and inviting pool area. Very good breakfast and helpful staff. "

"Rashid and Kelvin were the absolute best hosts! So nice I came back twice. Emerald Palm is the home away from home. Staff are warm and friendly and it's in a great location in Stone Town. Definitely recommend this hotel. "

"We can't say enough good things about our stay at Habari House. My husband and I travel quite a bit and never have we stayed somewhere with such gracious hosts as G and Lucy. They welcomed us in and made sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. In fact, when I mentioned that my mattress was a bit firm, they went out and got a new mattress and a foam topper to ensure I would have a good night's sleep. "I paid circa $50 for one night here on a work trip. For that price I think it was a complete bargain. Location is great, no night clubs / chickens crowing next door so quiet. I didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on food (so many choices within a 5-10 min walk). This is not a luxury hotel like a Hyatt or Serena. Instead it’s bursting with Stone Town character, amazing location, nice bed and bathroom with lovely staff. Will stay again and willing to pay a little more. "
