The Carlton Hotel is in an excellent location opposite the famous Raffles Hotel. It is close to Raffles City shopping centre, City Hall MRT, streets of small shops, underground arcade that leads to Suntec City. All the staff at the Carlton Hotel were excellent, courteous, helpful and friendly."

"The Aloft Hotel is a gem in a city with the widest variety of decent 3-5 Star hotels, offering a choice that suits a visitor's needs and costs. The ALoft offers a free shuttle to and from the Metro, or will arrange a taxi for you at reception. The food from breakfast to dinner is superb, and there is an adjoining mall with a variety of fast-food and restaurants. Don't pass ALoft by when you visit Singapore for business, pleasure, or to join a cruise."

"One of the few hotels in Singapore with a pool for around S$100 per night. The second time we have stayed here, the staff are very nice, surrounded by plenty of food options. The pool is refreshing though shallow (waist height), less than a.10 minute walk to nearest train station. "

"The location is walkable to many eateries, the East Coast Beach and MRT station. The rooms looked even better than the pictures so I was pleasantly surprised. They have a steam iron which was excellent for business travellers. Breakfast selection was wide and varied. Perfect if you don’t mind staying in the Katong area, which can be further to Bugis and Gardens By The Bay and other city sights. "
