Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. "Really great hotel with so much attention to detail. Record players in the room and a huge selection of records is a really nice touch. The Radio was on when we arrived to our room and the Pantry is generous & a really unique touch. Canadian lady on the Bar was knowledgeable & super friendly (Pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the extensive bar menu was priced). Just really really cool & great location."

"A wonderful, clean,air condtioned room and staff can be contacted 24/7 if any problems. Bed was very comfortable and being left a small bottle of milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Parking was no problem at all in front of buillding. Did have any food but all looked lovely. Would definately recommend."

"Perfect location for walking through York Gardens. We were downstairs but still had plenty of light coming through. Lots of space and we cracked our window at night which kept us cool enough - though wished there was a safety lock on the windows - we didn’t notice one. And the fan could be cleaned - didn’t use because it was covered it dust. Sink was stopped up but couldn’t be we didn’t know how to open the drain more."

"Great location, within walking distance of city centre. Lots of safe, secure parking, if a little expensive at £20 per day. Fantastic room with very high ceiling and roll top bath. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. It’s an expensive hotel, but overall good value for money."

"We had a lovely weekend stay at this hotel, which is only a 10 minute walk from the city centre and close to York’s many attractions. Our air conditioned room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities, dressing table, hairdryer, iron, tv and plenty of power sockets. The en-suite had a spacious walk-in shower and toiletries were included. We used the hotel restaurant in the evenings and our meals were both well presented and delicious. "When checking out our room was different, we are from Arizona and never used anything like this, we had to use the key card to turn on electricity to the room. The bed was comfortable and clean, air conditioner worked great and the shower was excellent.
