"Beautiful secluded property with true luxury onsen experience. Staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. They accommodated our large family of 11, including a few different food allergies very well. The teenagers loved the private and public hot baths. "Nice setting (and surrounding area within Hakone) and we enjoyed the serenity of this property. This property is a bit aged, so air conditioning is absent in room. Weather was good during our stay (not super humid hot) so we had no issue. Having said that, I would imagine we would definite appreciate the traditional style of heating when visiting during winter with its snowy view over the golf course."

"Mind blowing. Nicest hotel room we have ever stayed in. We stayed atop in room 405, and we had 3.5 private onsens (one inddor hot, one outdoor hot, one indoor cold, and one outdoor foot bath) plus a sauna. And a kitchen w/ bbq. And a projector. And the largest TV I have ever seen. ANd.... Just magical. Can stay here without a car too: just use bus/train. Roads are dangerous, so find the hidden paths if you can (e.g., there is a super charming path hidden behind the nearby train station to across the street from the hotel, that is even lit up at night). A pleasant walk to the Hakone Open Air Museum (~20 min or so) and the Ropeway. So good, so good...."
