"This property was wonderful. It was high above the town with great views of the town and ocean. It had a distinctive modern architectural style and an authentic comfortable feel. Our room was clean and well stocked. It was spacious and we had an outside balcony. There was also a beautiful garden and a large shared living room with a pool table. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Hawaii."

"The rooms were clean but our shower knob broke off and couldn’t be put back on. The interior of it was completely rusted. When checking in the lady was rude and showed no aloha or care. The restaurant had great food and the severs were amazing!"

"This was a motel style and not a hotel. There is no elevator, so be prepared to lug suitcases upstairs. To their credit, they had an awesome guy by the front desk that carried my 50 of suitcase up to my room for me. Front desk staff were awesome! No air conditioning, luckily it was unseasonable cool and the fan made it bearable to sleep with the sliding door open. Unfortunately the rooms are carpeted and felt damp and sticky (humidity). Great location, but very old motel. Definitely a bargain price, so if willing to sacrifice comfort that is your location. Again, the staff were awesome!!!"

"This is a very nice lodge with a great history. The room was spacious and we really enjoyed the hot tub and the nature trail. My only complaint is with the people in the room beneath us as we heard them talking well past the quiet hour of 10:00 pm. As the inn has no night manager, I was required to deal with it myself by talking to them directly. Not sure if the insulation between the rooms is adequate. We did hear other neighbors as well but they respected the quiet hours. "

"This hotel has clean rooms. The outside grounds were beautiful. The walls are a little thin, so you could hear if people were being loud. Overall, the hotel was quiet so it did not bother us much. "

"We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the ocean and surfers. Our room had a bit of an ocean view and a large private lanai on the front of the home(great spot to eat our take out sushi one night) The owners and managers thought of everything! We would recommend this place to our friends."
