"The room was with a balcony overlooking the sea. The furnishings were antique/old , The bed was comfortable The bathroom needed a replacement bath panel as rotting , the old sink had several small chips. Our room cleaners were polite and provided a daily service. We only used the restaurant for an evening meal once , food was adequate, we felt the selection was poor. Breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold choices, the restaurant staff were all very polite and helpful. The outdoor pool was "closed for refurbishment " shame as we were there in the heatwave. Good parking arrangements for blue badge holders with level access to hotel."

"This is the second stay at The Grand. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We were bed and breakfast , the bed was very comfortable, the room was a decent size and the breakfast was very good. Although the room was clean the main window needs attention as putty is missing which makes it drafty and also it needs painting. The flat roof outside is an eyesore. We found the wifi poor and the size of the tv too small for the size of the room. A big positive for us is the location of the railway station as we will both be 80 years old in a few months we tend to use the train and not the car. We will certainly stay in The Grand in the future and would go for a higher room, as we previously had, in the hope we would have a better view. Thank you for our enjoyable stay."
