"Sarah was very welcoming and friendly. She showed us to our room, informed us of the call system if will required any beverages. Room 9 was facing the rear of the property, so was totally free from any traffic noise. We had a sound sleep in a comfy bed. Breakfast was more than adequate and delicious. A short but pleasant stay."

"We had a great stay in the hotel (2 adults, 2 kids, 2 nights). Our room was bright and clean, and surprisingly spacious. Upon arrival, we noted that we were expecting an extra bed in our room; one was promptly sent up and made up. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is 3-stars for a reason: it hasn't been refurbished in a long time, so if you're looking for examples of cutting edge design, you might try somewhere else (probably outside of Eastbourne?). But The Lansdowne is very well looked after by the staff, and this gives the hotel a lovely nostalgic feel. Whenever we're headed to Eastbourne again we'll try to stay there first."

"Amazing gem of a hotel and the most lovely staff. We needed a pair of connecting rooms, and one room for my elderly uncle and aunt with an easy access shower. Both requests were readily met with no fuss, which we really appreciate. I would not hesitate in booking another stay here!"

"Just a little gem of a guest house,host was accommodating with earlier check-in and leaving our bags there before we did check in. We had room no 5 with a queen bed and single with en suite and tea coffee facilities and a fridge as well.Really couldn't find any faults at all,we only had an overnight stay but would definitely return "
