Overpriced for the quality

We thought that when we payed 900 sek per night we would get quite decent hotel for Hanoi standards, but this hotel did not meet them. The beds had not real sheets only a thin cloth, which makes the cold air from the AC difficult to cope with. Also the AC was not easy to set as you had to change the temperature then turn it off and on for the changes to apply. The breakfast was quite good and during breakfast it was clear where the name came from.

Great location, service is not so great.

The location is excellent, it’s very close to everything like shops and the Sword Lake as well as the Old Quarter. Breakfast and service were ok. However the room is very small, bathroom is literally inside the room with a tiny space for toilet.

This is simply not what you get in the pictures. The 24/7 reception is closed and dark at night with no bell to ring. The breakfast nook does not look like it has been painted in the last 10 years let alone cleaned, there is no bar/lounge and the room does not look like the pictures. I highly question the 'exceptional' rating and the 10/10 ratings this place got. Its a 4/10 or a 5/10 being honest and fair
