The hotel was beautifully furnished especially the grandeur looking gold toilet fittings. The lake view from the bed was great and relaxing. Service from counter staff and concierge was excellent and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a vast and delightful spread

Was in a two room suite for more than 5 days. It’s on the expensive side (using Vietnamese standards) For that, you get slightly more space than the cramped guest rooms in smelly Old Quater hotels. But visiting tourist attractions takes a slightly more time and negligible Grab ride cost. So budget your time accordingly. Inside room amenities are all there but quite old.(my shower head had about 1/2 of water nozzles blocked by years of mineral and calcium build up). Hallways had old dingy carpeting and had bit of an odor. Restaurant food didn’t look appetizing. (Much better food options outside). Service when requested was prompt and genuine.

The staff were helpful but not very friendly, and were not interested in the visitors at all. the lobby on each floor smelt like cigarette smoke. The room was great and everything worked well, but in the long run, staff interaction makes and breaks a visit and Dolce was lacking in that area.

Wow after leaving the inter con this property was a massive disappointment. Maybe I was just spoiled from the attention to detail, amazing staff amenities and good food at intercon but this paled in comparison (even tho literally everything is tacky and gold) you would never know this was an international hotel because very few of the staff have any grasp of English making it extremely hard to order or communicate. The breakfast buffet was huge but terrible, the room service was awful. I ended up going to circle k and living off snacks due to the poor quality and difficulty in ordering. Housekeeping was random and they never replaced the snacks and food unless I asked. The gym is ok but half the cardio equipment was broken and I was unable to use it. I really would recommend not staying here

Golden Hotel

I was curious about the novelty of the golden rooms, so I checked in for 2 nights. Although it's a pretty hotel, I found it a little outdated. For the price I found it to be too expensive in comparison to other hotels for same price like Lotte Hotel nearby. My room was interesting with golden fixtures and an usually big bed that was very comfortable. Upon arriving I noticed that the tv was not working and took a full day to be fixed and the AC pointed exactly to the bed which made me get up in the middle of the night to turn it off. The location is not the most convenient, but it's surrounded by some interesting cafes and restaurants. I didn't try the Chinese restaurant in the hotel for I didn't find it appealing. But if you like the opulence of gold, you will find your stay here comfortable and luxurious.
