Great location, very modern, great amenities- my second or third stay here. A lively area 12 min walk from west lake and shopping ; clubs & restaurants right across the road - some rooms hear the music all night long so light sleepers may request a back side room.

Loft room was a pleasant surprise. Spacious and modern. Great to unwind with the family after a long day of walking around West Lake. The location isn’t the best for access to the lake. Breakfast and lounge were also really great. Would recommend if you plan on staying several days.

Really nice room and stylish - really glad we choice this hotel after climbing Huangshan. Staff are not as helpful we were would like but luckily I speak Chinese. Room service options not great but I suppose not many people use this option and it’s probably not encouraged since menu was only available on the TV and you need WeChat to order. Our stay at this property followed a stay at the grand hyatt in shanghai with river view abnd club access. The prices was the same, but the experience is worlds apart. First, the room was advertised as having a view of west lake. I guess it did, but it was a very fine sliver of a view of a remote west lake. In addition, the rooms were somewhat run down, the tile in the ahower was rough on the feet, the lobby/bar area was not only loud, but constant flashing lights that were incredibly annoying. Finally, when we checked in there was a serious push to hire their driver/car. We will definitely be going back to Hangzhou, but we definitely will not be staying here.

Canopy Hotel Westlake is a clean, modern hotel, conveniently located, in walking distance to Westlake and shopping area. The hotel is for young people with music, dance, and late night activities in the bar, sometimes loud music and singing, almost no lobby. one more thing, i booked a super king size room, but i got a corner room, small, irregular shape. i was not happy.

It was an amazing stay in canopy by Hilton. The service and cleanliness were tip top! One of the cleaner actually helped me to fold my clothes, it’s my first encounter with such detailed cleaning, I gave her a tip for such amazing initiative .I didn’t like the breakfast buffet it is disappointing.

Super hot in the room

Room is hot like sauna, even when we adjust temperature to 20-22 degrees, room temp is still 26 degrees!! We informed the staff and they told us nothing can be done as air con is central control!! We were told to open the window!!! Or use the fan they provide. When we requested for change in the room, we were told that it will be the same and may be worse because other rooms, may not even be able to open the window!! It’s a terrible experience especially coming from Hilton and not other random hotel.
