"Breakfast was hot and it was nice that hot foods were served to you rather than a traditional buffet style. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and was easy to keep cool."

"Like so many others I rely heavily on reviews when booking but don’t always write them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were fantastic, especially Abbie, and very accommodating. The gym is small but meets the need, breakfast at the restaurant was excellent and our room well appointed with a comfortable bed and even an umbrella to use. The warm cookies on arrival - yes please! The location cannot be beat - literally steps from the harbour front with a small grocer and coffee shop right across the street. The only little thing that we would offer consideration on is improving the hot tub - it was a tight for 4 adults and there are no true stairs from which to enter and exit. We would stay here again, no hesitation."

"My wife and I recently stayed at the Lord Nelson Hotel and Suites in Halifax for two days, and this must have been the friendliest hotel staff that I have ever encountered in my life. Period. Throughout our 48 hours, I found nothing but smiles and kindness from the staff. Period. Here is why this hotel deserves every bit of a 5-star rating: * Spotless & Luxurious: The hotel looks incredibly luxurious, was always tidy, and smells good the moment you walk in. * The Room: Our room was super clean, and housekeeping was absolutely on the spot. * Comforts: They have a decent coffee machine in the room, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Period. * Dining: The on-site restaurant is incredible! Facilities & Amenities The hotel, although it doesn't have amenities, has a YMCA free pass for the guest where you can find the best gym equipment, pool, and etc. Period. It is a fantastic workaround that gives you access to a top-tier fitness facility. World-Class Service Shout-Outs ⁠A very special shout out to the front desk operator, Gustavo, and the concierge, Parris and Folly, for being extremely kind and accommodating. Period. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I would 100% recommend that any guest book this hotel due to its great structure, amazing location, and fantastic staff."
