"The room is a little tight for two people as there is only space for one person to sit down. Otherwise the room is nice, clean, with comfortable bed and nice view of the bay. The hotel has an affiliated restaurant next to it which serves great food."

"Great location - close to downtown Reykjavik and lots of restaurants as well as close to grocery stores. We enjoyed the unit we had with the full kitchen and living room. Nice and spacious for our 2 night stay. Loved the cat who visited!! We walked to the Pond and other areas. Parking was on the street in front. They need to make where the check in area is more visible. Some people thought our apartment was check in! Great staff as we had a burnt out bulb - very quick in responding. Easy...

"Was there 4 nights. Everything else was good except for the wi-fi in my room #716 where they couldn' t fix the wi-fi problem which was on and off for the first three nights and they kept saying that there's nothing wrong. It s quite annoying after a long day outing and back to my room with no wi-fi connection. Had to go sit at the hall way to get wifi connection sometime."

"I did not get my check in instructions ahead of time and was locked out on the first night. I had to pay 244 euros for a hotel. Neither summer day nor Expedia would refund me. Fraud as they blamed each other. The internet did not work in my room and the person who responded could only say “good luck”. Horrible place to stay. Would not recommend either summer day or Expedia. "

"The grounds are amazing. We could see the horses from our bed. My kid loved the ladder to the upstairs. Place was pretty clean, the toilet brushes are a bit grungy, think they could swap those out but everything else was good. The views and scenery are really amazing though "

"This is a dorm during the school year that serves as a hotel in the summer. My room had a private bath, and was small but comfortable. The staff were very friendly. It was convenient to downtown Akureyri, and also very close to a lovely botanical garden. It was perfect for what I needed. I did not pay extra for the buffet breakfast. The bed was more comfortable than other dorm accommodations I have stayed in. It was quiet and peaceful."
