"The staff were great, the rooms were lovely, and the only thing that let the place down was actually other guests who changed the controls on the toaster, to the degree that the rest of my breakfast went cold while I put my bread through 3 times, and then gave up - resulting in cold breakfast, stewed, cold tea, hard bread instead of toast - apparently it's an ongoing problem, which the staff perhaps need to monitor a bit more closely."

"Excellent stay at the White Hart Hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional with lots of choice for breakfast. The dining menu in Antlers restaurant was also extensive and quality of food five star. Staff also very friendly with no stuffiness. We stayed in a deluxe room which was clean, spacious and well equipped with luxury Elemis toiletries. Decent shower and bath with space for toiletry bags as well. Comfy bed and good storage for clothes in room. Very enjoyable...

"Breakfast was very good, good variety and hot. My wife is Lactose intolerant and wheat free. The staff were very helpful in making sure that she was given freshly cooked items. The room was clean ans Sraff very friendly. We didn't use the bar as were were attending an R.A.F. Reunion. The only disappointment was the cost of the car park."

"I was a bit worried about staying here having read some 'iffy' reviews, but I needn't of. For being a 3 star hotel I thought it was great. Location was perfect, breakfast was good, lovely choice of food. Our room was good and overlooked the cathedral. The bed was very hard so we asked for a mattress topper which they put on for us. It didn't make difference and we still had 3 nights of not sleeping through the night and waking up in pain!! Could also have done with a hairdryer on the room, but...

"This place is a little gem. A great deal of thought has gone into the rooms, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Very welcoming staff who clearly want the guests to have an enjoyable stay. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, with plenty of choice. Would definitely stay again."

"Expedia should be ashamed to charge for accommodation in what was a hostel for vagrants. During the period that access was unavailable to us, a neighbour told us that the Hamilton was used to house council-sent people, and we saw three such unfortunate people waiting to enter. My wife was frightened by the property when access was eventually gained, describing it as being like her idea of a prison, and I found it forbidding and inhospitable. "Room excellent, upgraded to executive room, but on 2nd floor, with no lift working. This was OK, but only because we had very light luggage. We really need a ground floor room if there's no lift now, as we are both pensioners sand beginning to experience mobility issues with stairs."

"Homely and welcoming accomodation in remote part of Lincolnshire. Food is only served to b and b guests, and bar is only open in evening. Perfect for visiting places such as Tattershall and Woodhall Spa"
