"No parking facility for single room occupancy was inconvenient and had to leave car in a nearby exposed housing estate and walk back. Check-in was confusing with key boxes on the wall for each room, but access is via the key coded digital front door lock. The hidden digital locks on the room door handles can be confusing for new arrivals. Room was basic and very noisy at street level, with only wooden blinds that let light in. "The White Hart is ideally placed at the top of Steep Hill with easy access to the castle and cathedral. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance in addition to the hotel's own a la carte and bar food menus. The shower and other plumbing were excellent which was all the more impressive given the age of the hotel and it's location at such an elevation.
