Die Lage des Hotels ist einmalig (verkehrstechnisch, vom Ausblick, von der Lage innerhalb Grenobles). Das Zimmer nach vorne zum Place Victor Hugo hinaus war ruhig und angenehm. Der kleine Balkon erfreulich. Das Ein- und Auschecken war unkompliziert, das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Hoteleinrichtung war sauber und ordentlich. Einen Abzug gibt es dafür, dass zwar die Mülleimer täglich geleghrt wurden, aber über alle drei Tage die zwei Kaugummis eines vorangegangenen Gastes weiterhin in der Mülltüte klebten. Für die Umwelt sicher von Vorteil, wenn Kunststoffe nicht leichtfertig entsorgt werden, aber Überbleibsel aus dem Mund eines vorangegangenen Zimmerbewohners sind für den Nachfolger wenig hygienisch. Insgesamt trotzdem ein positives Urteil.

Staff are extremely helpful and speak Engish well. Hotel location is supurb and a few minutes from town centre. Views over the square and to the mountains beyond are amazing. Nice warm atmosphere at the hotel and as a lady travelling alone I always felt safe. On the minus side. Room was a little on the warm side and window opening caused loud noise and also then let in street noise. No fridge or tea and coffee making facilites in the room. Although staff kindly allowed the use of the machines downstairs.

Situé en bordure de la vieille ville, sur le boulevard E. Rey où la circulation est limitée (bus et trams) ; de plus, la place V. Hugo est actuellement en travaux et la circulation y est impossible. Arriver à l'hôtel est malaisé, surtout avec un GPS. Mais si vous réussissez le challenge, les places livraisons devant l'hôtel vous permettent de déposer vos bagages... Parking public payant à 350 m. Etablissement au charme d'antan, mobilier vintage ; le temps s'y est arrêté. Mais bien entretenu et propre. Climatisation efficace et débrayable. Insonorisations extérieure et intérieure insuffisantes, pourtant deux fenêtres et triple vitrage... mais on entend quand même les travaux, la circulation et la cloche de l'église qui sonne toutes les 1/2 heures de 6 à 22H, ainsi que les voisins de la chambre à côté pas toujours discrets. Dans la chambre, porte valise pratique, pas de réfrigérateur, pas de bouteille d'eau (l'hôtel explique lutter contre le plastique alors que les gobelets dans la salle de bain sont...en plastique !). Lit confortable, tv grand écran avec lecteur dvd sans dvd. Petit déjeuner buffet à volonté en supplément ; boissons chaudes et froides, pain, grand choix de mini viennoiseries en arrivant assez tôt, céréales, charcuterie, fromages, yaourts, confitures artisanales sans aucun additif (sucre de canne et fruits et c'est tout !), oeufs à cuire ou brouillés, saucisses, bacon, madeleines, gâteau maison... J'ai passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel.
