"My best friend had her birthday party in Eagle Rock this weekend, so I thought it would be fun to give this place a try. I love staying in interesting places. The Rosemary itself is truly a work of art. The concept is SO cool. The rooms are decorated beautifully. Whoever built & decorated has a special talent! I want to love it. I really want to love it. The place is not ran well. Expect 0 to no help. Fortunately, I got really lucky that I ran into the owner outside who was able to connect me with a dude named Darrell who actually was very nice & easy to work with, but I got lucky… if I had arrived a few minutes later (it was around 7pm), I would have had no way to check in. No one was answering the numbers The Rosemary had provided… The walls are paper thin. I heard the person in the room next to me pass gas all night. Even with the free ear plugs. The rooms don’t exactly feel clean… The sheets look like those of a freshman male college student. To make matters worse, our room was 80 degrees with NO window & no ventilation. ~$200. :) I thought I was lucky when I found a fan. Nope, it was the worst fan I’ve ever used. It was pretty, but it is the worst functioning fan. I really hope someone can manage this place better and make it a bit more guest friendly… It could be SO cool. The “front desk” had NO problem solving skills. Expect no help. Competency questioned. On a good note, I at least never felt unsafe."

"I've given stars for the free parking, adequately clean room, and I guess the water pressure in the shower was alright. The negatives are as follows: If you want a coffee in the morning, you need to get up, get dressed, get in the car and drive 8 or 9 blocks to the McDonald's on Vine St. It's worth mentioning that the food & service at this McDonald's are pretty okay. There are ashtrays located outside several of the rooms. Loud people gather around them at all hours of the night. Because the rooms are poorly insulated against noise, this, along with every nearby siren and rorty exhaust, will keep you awake. There is takeout available within a couple of blocks, but my room didn't really have anywhere to sit and eat it. My windows had a close-up view of the apartments behind the motel, and vice versa, so I had to keep the shutters closed. The a/c is noisy. Overall a disappointment and I was glad to only stay one night before moving round the corner to the Hollywood City Inn, which is much nicer."

"Well located hotel with good amenities but housekeeping was a little slack with lots of dust in the room. It was a little noisy too but fine for a short stay"
