"The Townhouse is a fantastic well run hotel with a friendly team who were very welcoming. We had a comfortable tastefully decorated room with a kettle, tea, biscuits, bottled water and a fan heater if we needed additional warmth. The bathroom was compact with small shower gel/shampoo bottles along with lovely soft hand and bath towels. "Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. "

"Nice hotel, we had a feature bedroom which was spacious and comfortable although it really needs handrails in the bathroom to get out of the narrow bath!. Guests can use the facilities including the pool at the sister Peebles Hydro hotel about 2 minutes drive away. Handy for walking into Peebles high street and the river walks. Good choice of meals in the bar which were reasonably priced and excellent."
