I agree with many points Laurie made. If it has been advertised that the chalet was on a steep hill, I would never have booked it. We were two families of 6 people. We did not have room in the “driveway” for both vehicles, so one car had to park on a second higher hill in someone else’s drive. Additionally, there was no queen bed as advertised. Instead, there were two double beds and a king. In the smallest room, there was only one bed-stand, but no other furniture to set items on. Also, the closet was locked so we are not able to use it to put our clothes in. The stairs in the house were very steep and narrow so only one person could go up or down at a time. There was a crack in the toilet seat in the bottom bathroom so that it kept pinching my leg when I would use the restroom.
Check in was listed as after 4pm. We got there at 4pm and people were still cleaning the chalet. I waited five minutes before asking how much longer they would be. The gentleman I spoke to said they would be done in a few minutes but was not respectful about it. We had to go back down the hill because there was no room for us and his truck to be in the drive. Finally, about 15 minutes later they came down and we were able to go back up.
I contacted the owner via text asking if there were any special instructions besides the email we were sent. We never received a response.
Overall, it was a cute, small place. We just wouldn’t go again because of the steep driveway.

The only thing we liked about it was that the heating and cooling worked well. The things that we hated was the extremely steep driveway that wasn't mentioned in the description. Our truck almost didn't make it up the hill. The entrance to the driveway was also very narrow awkward. Another thing they failed to mention was that it was a 2 story cabin. All the bedrooms were upstairs. The stairs were steep and narrow. If I'd known about that, I wouldn't have brought my mother-in-law. She has bad k ees and it was very difficult for her to get up the stairs. We had to assist her each time. Also, one of the beds was supposed to be queen size and it was full size. That was a problem also. They lied about that. The bedrooms were so small. There was only enough room in each one for a bed and a nightstand. My mother-in-law's sheets were wrinkled and had dirt all on the fitted sheet. And there was only one TV in the cabin. Not all of the outlets worked and there was garbage under the king size bed. It was BY FAR the worst cabin we have ever stayed in the Smokey Mountains.
