One of my main concerns was a good breakfast,as we had a full day ahead of us. No need to worry. We had an excellent full English,with equally excellent coffee. "Well portioned for easy access to all travel and walking. Stunning views of surrounding mountains. However the village seemed abit run down and dinning opportunities limited. We would suggest the Royal Sportsman hotel for dinning. As we have visited it before and the food and service was excellent. "

We stayed at The Royston for 1 night - I wish it had been a week. Huge rooms, beautifully styled, super clean and with everything that you need to feel at home. Comfortable bed, huge shower and amazing artwork. Relaxing armchairs in our room with amazing views of the rolling hills and valley at the front of the house, perfect for switching off with a glass of wine.

The owner of the hotel was lovely and very friendly and accommodating e.g. to an early checkout. I ate there one evening and the food was excellent. Breakfast is also very good!"
