Excellent service, family atmosphere, great kindness, sympathy and professionalism, the rooms are very comfortable, clean and tidy, the breakfasts are delicious.
We arrived after the 2-6 PM check-in window (though we did call ahead and were told that would be okay) and it seems they were not very happy that we didn't arrive earlier. We got what felt like a pretty cold greeting. We were put out in a "guest house" in the back yard. It felt more like a shed converted into an extra place to house people. While the bathroom was in pretty good condition and seemingly recently renovated, that was really the end of what was nice about the unit. The furnishings were very well worn and dusty. The main bed was a double bed so it was pretty tight for two people. There was another bed in the unit but it was more like a cot and essentially not fit for sleeping on. The mini refrigerator had been unplugged for some time and was room temperature, musty, and dirty. The unit itself, being in the back yard and detached from the house, felt unsafe. We had a door that locked but we didn't dare leave the windows open at night (they swung out pretty wide) not knowing for sure how safe the area was. The room, though, was very musty and warm. There was no fan in the unit at all either so it was a pretty warm night of sleep.
The breakfast included in the price was pretty good. There were multiple options and lots of additional things to eat while they cooked your breakfast.
That being said, this is a place that I wouldn't recommend and will definitely never stay at again. The ratings this place has received seem very over-inflated based on my experience.
Most of their rooms are in the main house, but we had a room in a converted shed behind the house - being outside, it was a little less homely than you expect from a B&B, but it was warm, clean and private. A minor quibble would be that the TV had no service connected. The room was over-priced, but we did book last-minute. The proprietors were very friendly serving breakfast, and it was a solid full-irish, so nothing to fault there! I would use again.
The living room area by the fireplace was very nice for our nightcap. We checked out a bit late, and they were very accommodating to us. We were still on California time and mornings were rough. The area is very quiet. We were able to park, but parking could get a bit tight depending on how many guests could be using their lot at once, but we didn't have an issue. The only downside was that the bathroom didn't have the best ventilation, and they turned the heat off throughout the night. It was warm when we got into our room so we left the windows nopen for awhile and then the room didn't heat back up, but that was our bad too! It was about a 15 min walk get get to more of the downtown part of Galway. We found a fee great bars and restaurants very easily. We only stayed for one night but wish we spent more time in the city!
We had a quick overnight stay. The owners were terrific and would come back on any future trip.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
The room was okay, but breakfast—especially the choral music—was just lovely. Our host was friendly and helpful. The town of Galway, however, was a traffic nightmare and the streets are poorly marked. Nice dinner at the Quays, though.
This was a last minute booking for me. I had the small separate ‘guest house’ out back. It was private and clean. Since it is on the back of the property, the view is of the cars and toools which can not be avoided. All in all, I would stay again.

wir hatten das Nebengebäude/vermutlich als Garage geplant- Bettplatz war eher eng - allerdings gab es eine K üche mit Kühlschrank und eigenem Bad- es war alles sehr sauber
Booked for a couple of nights following a wedding to give us an opportunity to see more of Galway city and the surrounding area. Took a trip out to Kinvara for the festival - absolutely fantastic. The program of cookery demonstrations and informative talks were very inspiring. An absolute bonus.
Travelled 300 miles to knock on door and be told no room and placed with another b&b around the corner, no explanation as to why, no advance call to say this was happening, had to pay same price to replacement b&b which in our eyes was not worth it, wont be booking again
The room were a real disappointment and very overpriced. The food was tasteless. The hosts were very unhelpful and unfriendly. I liked Galway city itself and generally found the people friendly but staying here was a real let down. If you are paying premium money on a room you expect at least a good service. This place was 2 star at best. Look elsewhere for a getaway spot.
our first time staying here, and it will not be our last, it`s a home away from home and it`s Marie and Peter who make it that way, nothing is to much for them to make you feel like a member of the family, this dog friendly accommodation, hits all the right buttons, it`s a few minutes walk to either Galway City, or Salthill, and shorter to the beach, and we had a chalet at the back, which was a lovely a and large building, it was clean and comfortable, and the bed was so soft, breakfast was freshly cooked, with a nice selection of cereals, and cold meat, we LOVED it so much we rebooked Inishmore house for later in the year
Great location. Room was lovely clean and had everything you need. Owner could not have been nicer and all other staff where lovely. Will definitely stay there again.
Rigtigt hyggeligt sted med en flink og hjælpsom vært. Lækker hjemmelavet morgenmad inkluderet. Eneste minus var et meget knagende loft, men det er forventeligt i en ældre bygning. Kan klart anbefales!
We were welcomed with tea and biscuits with charming hospitality and the accommodations weee cozy and comfortable. It is a quick walk to town and breakfast was delicious! This Inn will always have a special place in my heart because it is because my boyfriend proposed to me during our stay at the Cathedral of Galway! The staff was quick to congratulate us and help us celebrate. Fantastic!
Rooms are well decorated and clean.
Breakfast was lovely.
Very short walk from Salthill, which has great views, also close to Galway centre.
Shower took a bit of brainpower to get to work, but a minor point.
Recommended.
