"Location was great. Staff was very helpful and gave us rooms early. Breakfast staff was very overworked but very polite and nice. Lift does not feel safe. Else everything else was good. "
"A comfortable and friendly place right next to Marktplatz in Freiburg Altstadt. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The neighbourhood was quiet at night, but there was a fair bit of noise from about 7 am as shopkeepers started to set up market stalls. The area was a delight to walk through, and it was also wonderful to see how many people arrived and departed on the frequent trams that travelled along the narrow streets."

"The Roten Bären hotel was perfectly situated in the old city of Freiburg! Decent breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Considered the oldest Inn in Germany. A little bit of a challenge to get to it since it’s in the pedestrian zone but managed."

Husk parkering på dæk 1 i parkeringskælder, så man kan køre direkte op i hotellet med elevator."

"Excellent and reasonably-priced hotel. Perfect for holidays in Freiburg as it's right next to the main Tram 2 stop (Eugen-Martin-Straße) giving easy access to the centre.
Lots of local grocery stores, which is great for stocking up the included kitchen.
Everyone was very helpful and the rooms well-stocked (bring your own nespresso pods though).
Sure, the rooms are a bit small, but once you realise the beds go up into the wall(!) you'll have plenty of space.

Food und Glühwein gut, leider hatte der Weihnachtsmarkt am Abend des 27.12.2024 nicht offen und beim Münster fehlten meines Erachtens auch die Weihnachtsstände. Schade!!"
