"I had a wonderful stay at Park Hyatt Zanzibar overall — the service, rooms, location in Stone Town, and breakfast were all excellent and met the Park Hyatt standard. I specifically paid extra for an oceanfront room, expecting serene views, but instead the shoreline is dominated by ugly docked boats and ferry traffic, which completely takes away from the view and atmosphere. We stayed in a suite at the very top of hotel and had to walk up quite a few flight of stairs as there is no light. You are helped with luggage, however anyone with mobility issues would may struggle. "

"The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is a short walk to the Forodhani Gardens and the former Slave Market. There are several restaurants closeby especially a very popular one Lukmaan. The area around the hotel is bustling in the day and quiet at night. A taxi cannot drive up to this property so you will to do a short walk through the streets to get there. The staff were friendly and always greeted us. They were helpful when we called for assistance with anything we needed to clarify...

"I paid circa $50 for one night here on a work trip. For that price I think it was a complete bargain. Location is great, no night clubs / chickens crowing next door so quiet. I didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on food (so many choices within a 5-10 min walk). This is not a luxury hotel like a Hyatt or Serena. Instead it’s bursting with Stone Town character, amazing location, nice bed and bathroom with lovely staff. Will stay again and willing to pay a little more. "

"I stayed here one night after landing in stone town. Perfect spot to nap on and off to get through the jet lag and be right in the heart of stone town. Extremely walkable to sites. The rooms are spacious, excellent shower and super comfy bed. Very clean and was just what I was looking for. Please note that it was a bit difficult to find. The taxi just dropped me off on the main road because cars can’t access the small streets. Once you know where it is, it’s super simple to return to"
