"This property was incredibly lovely. It is well outfitted and conveniently located. Everything is nice, new and sparkling clean. The host goes out of her way to make sure all you could possibly want is taken care of. Breakfast is varied and delicious. The best coffee I’ve had in Taiwan. It is within steps of the boat landing, the bike route and the cable car to the Formosa Village. The charm of this little hotel made going to Sun Moon Lake all the better. "

"After spending some days in Hong Kong and Taipei, it felt wonderful to stay at Butchards Villa, so quiet and beautiful. It is really an oasis. We were welcomed by Melissa the receptionist, she was so sweet, we were offered fruit, waffles and coffee free of charge. Our room was very big, nice bath, overlooking the front off the hotel.
