"Mr. Amadeu was very kind and helpful when we checked in very late at midnight. We had car accident and went to hospital before last minute booking and checking in. Mr. Amadeu knew that we had trouble with late night food and brought us some available from the kitchen to survive the night. We were very much appreciated. Then for the next 2 days we were very fortunate to get big help from Mr. Vitor during his day shift duty. He helped discussing, negotiating and managing our accident trouble with...

"Excellent service from all of the staff. Clean and well appointed room. Balcony with fantastic views. Excellent, quiet, peaceful, beautiful location. Nice outdoor pool, deck and loungers with great views in all directions. Very good restaurant for breakfast; fantastic evening meal. Well-stocked bar."

"Every detail on this property was executed to perfection. The second you are on premise, serenity and tranquility takes over. If I could give the staff 10 stars, I would. Their service level was masterclass and made my experience extraordinarily special."

"Spectacular place beautiful gardens, incredible staff. Highly recommended"

"Incredible hotel. Absolutely beautiful property. Rooms were beautiful. Staff friendly and professional. Convenient location."

"Everything was perfect"

"Staff were"

"Breakfast was good. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with Expedia. I booked a room with breakfast but did not check the receipt, only to arrive and be told that breakfast was not included. A google check exposed that this is due to a glitch that expedia is aware of."

"Loved the location of this hotel up in the hills above Pinhao. Wonderful views from our balcony down over the terraced vineyards to the Douro river below. Incredibly quiet and peaceful spot. Also liked the hotel bar. There’s not much going on in Pinhao at night, but the LBV bar has a nice gathering of guests from all over and a good menu of salads, drinks and other light fare. Rooms are small as with just about all new boutique hotels these days, but very clean snd nice."

"Great check in process, got a vineyard tour and tasting included with our stay and the tour guide was awesome! Really enjoyed our balcony view of the river and valley."

"Amazing experience. Could do with a better wine tasting but we really enjoyed it. Vitor was amazing, definitely speak to him about your wine at dinner. The most stunning mountain and river views with great climbs nearby"

"Lovely location overlooking the river, fabulous restaurant for breakfast or dinner. A place we keep coming back to, both for dining and accommodation. Very comfortable and peaceful. And it’s all about the peace above a lazy river… we’ll be back again."

"Something went wrong and staff did not respond with urgency. They gave the wrong information and did not follow-up with me. Any hotel can pore a glass of wine, make a bedroom clean but when you are traveling certain things need to be dealt with when something goes wrong. And then you can see the quality of the staff. No apologies, nothing."
